I’ve always believed that the best games are made by players, not corporations. My journey didn’t start in a boardroom or at a venture-capital meeting—it started behind a screen, controller in hand, in the same online lobbies and servers where millions of other players grind, build, and battle every day.
For years, I ran a YouTube channel called the Captain H00K Show—a faceless channel dedicated to the genre I love most: mobile war-strategy survival games. I spent countless hours playing, analyzing, and breaking down titles that inspired passion but often left players frustrated. Over time, my channel grew into a community—thousands of gamers connected by a shared love for strategy, competition, and creativity.
But as I played and connected with players around the world, I began to notice something that didn’t sit right.
The mobile-gaming world has evolved fast—sometimes too fast. Monetization systems became more aggressive, gameplay quality was sacrificed for in-app purchases, and creativity often took a back seat to corporate strategy.
Everywhere I looked, players were spending more and enjoying less. It wasn’t about skill anymore. It was about spending power.
That’s when I realized something: if I wanted to see the kind of game I believed in—one that respected both the player’s time and intelligence—I’d have to build it myself.
In November 2024, I founded H00K Studios, a small independent development studio with one mission: to create games by gamers, for gamers.
No investors. No publishers. No board of directors. Just passion, grit, and a small team of players-turned-creators determined to change the mobile-gaming landscape.
Our first project—our flagship title—is called PYRAT WAR.
At its core, PYRAT WAR is a war-strategy survival game that rewards skill, decision-making, and teamwork. It captures the intensity and depth of the strategy titles that inspired me but removes the pay-to-win traps that have come to dominate the industry.
The majority of PYRAT WAR’s development has been self-funded, powered by determination rather than deep pockets. Every milestone has been a challenge, but also a reminder that authenticity can still thrive in this space.
People often ask why I don’t show my face. Why “Captain H00K”? Why the mask?
For me, anonymity is part of the message. I’m not interested in being the face of a brand. I’m interested in being the voice of a movement.
Gaming has always been about immersion—losing yourself in a world where it doesn’t matter who you are, where you’re from, or what you look like. I want my games, and my work, to embody that same purity.
That’s why I created H00K Studios under my gamer identity—not my personal one. The game and the experience come first. The creator’s ego stays out of the way.
It’s never been about me. It’s about us—the players, the fans, the dreamers who grew up believing that games could be more than just products.
PYRAT WAR isn’t just another war-strategy game. It’s a battleground of skill and survival, built with balance in mind.
We designed a world where every move counts—where players can rise through the ranks not because they paid for power, but because they earned it through smart strategy, teamwork, and persistence.
One of the standout features we’re building into PYRAT WAR is a massive competitive-tournament mode. It’s all about skill. Every battle is fair. Every victory is earned. That’s how it should be.
When I started designing this system with our team—most of whom are lifelong gamers themselves—I kept repeating one phrase:
“No shortcuts. No exploitation. Just gameplay.”
That became our unofficial motto inside H00K Studios.
I won’t pretend it’s been easy. Starting a game studio from scratch—with no big investors, no safety net—is one of the hardest things I’ve ever done.
There were months where progress stalled, times when self-doubt crept in, and days when it felt like the dream might collapse under its own weight. But every time, I went back to the community. Back to the players.
The support from the Captain H00K Show community kept me going. Messages from fans saying, “When are you going to make your own game?” eventually became the motivation I needed to make it real.
And now, it’s happening.
PYRAT WAR is set t o launch in January 2026—our first full-scale release under the H00K Studios banner.
We’re approaching this launch the same way we built the studio: grounded, community-driven, and focused on quality.
There will be early-access events, live tournaments, and community-driven testing phases that will help us fine-tune every mechanic before launch.
This isn’t just a game release. It’s the beginning of a new standard for how mobile-strategy titles can treat players—with respect, transparency, and genuine gameplay depth.
H00K Studios isn’t about chasing trends or pleasing shareholders. We’re about creating games that challenge, entertain, and unite players.
PYRAT WAR is just the first chapter of that story. We’re already sketching concepts for our next titles, expanding our team, and building partnerships with other indie creators who share the same vision.
But no matter how big we get, the mission remains the same:
Make games that put players first.
To everyone who’s followed me through the Captain H00K Show , to every gamer who ever felt frustrated by pay-to-win mechanics, and to every dreamer who ever thought “I could build something better”—PYRAT WAR is for you.
This journey has been long, unpredictable, and filled with obstacles, but it’s proof that passion still matters.
I may not show my face, but my work—our work—speaks loud enough.
